Creature is a gloriously independent advertising agency
Creature was founded in 2011 and is owned and run by its three founding partners Dan Cullen-Shute, Ben Middleton and Stu Outhwaite-Noel. In 2017 the agency appointed Andrew Gibson as Chief Strategy Officer and in 2020, Hanisha Kotecha joined as Chief Client Officer.
Creature is fuelled by Intelligent Misbehaviour: breaking the rules, in the right way, for the right reasons, and driven by an ambition to leave the industry better than we found it.
And both these things are more than just messaging. Intelligent Misbehaviour extends into everything we do. It informs our strategic approach, how we work with clients and build partnerships, and how we create brand-defining work that real people can’t help but care about.
This includes work for Adidas, Moonpig, Beagle Street Life Insurance, Anchor, Carling, Tetley, Facebook, The Green Party and eve Sleep.
It is also the basis on which we structured the agency. We have a core team of exceptional account management, creative and strategic teams who form the heart of our client-partnerships, and then work with the best delivery specialists in the world, to create work that will deliver impact. A structure that makes sure that our overheads never got in the way of our ability to partner and misbehave with our clients.
Leaving the industry better than we found it means doing things we’re proud of. It lives in our work and the results we deliver for clients, and in celebrating our industry’s successes. But it also extends to a responsibility to make the industry a better, and more inclusive place to work, for everyone.
Creature is a partner to its clients and their businesses, and a positive and proud advocate for the advertising industry. We are proud to have been one of Campaign’s Best Place to Work, named as one of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain by the London Stock Exchange and, in 2020, the first true independent agency to win an IPA Effectiveness Award.
