We are A Future Company and we use creativity to fuel the growth of forward-thinking brands
With over 650 people across our London and Manchester offices, we’re one of the UK’s largest independent advertising, consulting & communications businesses, covering the end-to-end of your brand marketing ecosystem needs.
As “A Future Company” we are relentlessly obsessed and inspired by the future - its potential, challenges and opportunities. We’re always thinking about what’s next for our people, our clients and our wider community. Our purpose is a simple one: we use creativity to fuel the growth of forward-thinking brands.
We do this by:
Expert teams curated bespoke to each client’s needs - agility, collaboration and transparency are key to our ways of working and we do our best work when working as an extension to our clients' teams. We’re free from internal silos, P&Ls or organisational barriers preventing our teams of experts working together. It’s just about smart, passionate people connecting to solve our clients' challenges.
Creativity that delivers results - fuelling growth for our clients' business through our proven methodology. It’s what we call “truth and friction”, finding the most enduring and authentic truth to tell as a brand, and then find the friction, a disruptive, memorable, innovative way to bring it to life.
Connecting the dots - we connect all parts of the customer journey - from awareness to advocacy - to deliver meaningful end-to-end customer experiences across a multitude of touchpoints.
A working environment built around diversity, collaboration and imagination
We believe that only from diversity of people, teams and thinking, supported by a culture designed around inclusion, comes true creativity and innovation. Which in turn makes our business more relevant, our work more meaningful and our people more empowered.
In 2020 we made internal and external commitments to increasing Representation and Diversity across every area, level and team in our business. These commitments were underpinned by representation targets across gender and ethnic diversity at team- and seniority- level which form part of our senior leadership team’s personal annual objectives.
Work that delivers results
We helped Jägermeister pivot from the icon of going out to the champion of staying in with “Meister Drop-ins” and “SaveTheNight” activity. Active in 24 markets and supporting 200+ Meisters, it’s gone on to become the most successful global activation in the brand’s history and a lifeline to the entertainment industry.
We helped Santander turn one of life’s most complicated tasks into must-see entertainment, celebrating the bank that understands mortgages by imagining one that doesn’t. We turned apathy into affinity and earned record-breaking branding scores and £30bn+ increase in sales.
We helped Cazoo go from business concept to become the UK’s fastest ever double Unicorn. From designing their logo to recruiting their staff to delivering a stunningly effective TV campaign – we’ve been partners since day one.
We helped the RAF unlock and inspire a new generation of talent and become the first armed force in the UK to meet (and beat) their 2020 diversity targets.
We helped Warburtons take a 25% bite out of the bagel category in just six weeks, breaking through a heavily monopolised market to compete for a share of the category.
ENGINE has helped transform hundreds of organisations; from enabling Cazoo to become the UK’s fastest ever £2 billion double Unicorn, to delivering Sky’s ambition to become carbon neutral, as well as shaping digital government to help those least able to help themselves. We’re the agency that quickly pivoted businesses and campaigns during lockdown, for brands including MoneySuperMarket and Jägermeister and the agency currently recruiting the nation's most diverse air force for the RAF.
We are optimistic about the future, resolutely adventurous, and restless about the potential the future holds. We’re also committed to the belief that a more inclusive world is a better world.
