WOO HOO! Deliveroo Celebrates Its Partnership With Tesco
The campaign, developed by Pablo London, will drive awareness of the grocery service on the Deliveroo app
13 October 2026
Deliveroo has launched a new campaign to announce their partnership with Tesco, created by Pablo London. Making the retailer’s offer available on the Deliveroo app for the first time, it gives Deliveroo customers access to thousands of Tesco grocery, fresh food, household and everyday essential products as well as Clubcard prices and Clubcard points too.
This news not only gives customers plenty to be happy about, but it's also created the perfect duo in Deliveroo and Tesco. The campaign strategy was very simple: to drive awareness of on-demand grocery on Deliveroo. What better way to turbocharge this than with the launch of Tesco on the platform?
‘WOOHOO! Tesco now on Deliveroo’ creatively translates all of this by personifying both ‘Deliveroo’ and ‘Tesco’ to leverage classic buddy movie tropes. We go on a fun journey with them both, seeing them meet for the first time, go about their work days together and successfully complete deliveries as a dynamic duo - all the while becoming the best of friends. Set to the Kenny Loggins classic track, ‘Playing with the Boys’, the film has a fun and uplifting tone to emphasise the positive energy around the partnership.
The AV was brought to life by director Max Barden of Anonymous Content, bringing his distinct visual style and humour to the films. The OOH captures the duo’s relationship in bold, iconic images, shot by Alex Bingham, simply announcing that Tesco is now available on the app. The campaign launches today, 12 October, and will run across Cinema, TV, BVOD, Radio and Out of Home, with Social content created by We Are Social.
Ed Redgrave and Conrad Swanston, Creative Directors at Pablo, said “As iconic brands go, Deliveroo is one of a kind. And so is Tesco. Together, they’re two-of-a-one-of-a-kind,. A head bopping duo, fuelled by an 80’s power track, ready to bring customers across the UK the groceries they need.”
Rosie Gilligan, Director of Creative Strategy & Campaigns at Deliveroo, said “Being able to do your Tesco shop on Deliveroo is a big deal for our customers across the UK, so we wanted a campaign that truly celebrated the partnership. The strength and recognisability of both brands gave us the creative freedom to make the announcement distinctive, single-minded and memorable. First there was Maverick and Goose, then Bill and Ted - now Deliveroo and Tesco.”
