‘Stories Movies Are Made Of’ celebrates the extraordinary stories behind life's most meaningful gifts, in a new Christmas campaign for Beaverbrooks.
Wonderhood Studios has created ‘Stories Movies Are Made Of’, a new campaign for Beaverbrooks launching on Sunday 1st November, as the jeweller sponsors Christmas movies on Sky through a series of cinematic idents.
A family jeweller since 1919, Beaverbrooks has spent over a century helping customers mark life's most meaningful moments. Along the way, their teams in store have heard countless stories behind the jewellery people choose, from grand romantic gestures to small acts of love and appreciation. It's this unique insight that inspired the campaign's central idea: behind every piece of jewellery is a story worthy of the big screen.
Rather than showing these moments themselves, each film offers a glimpse into a bigger story through carefully crafted scenes and intriguing details, leaving audiences to fill in the gaps with a little imagination.
The campaign comprises of six different executions, each revealing how a single piece of jewellery can tell a much bigger story. Adding a touch of Hollywood magic, Richard E. Grant lends his distinctive voice to the campaign, bringing its cinematic storytelling to life.
In ‘Cork’, a diamond ring sits atop a champagne cork, before the camera pulls back to reveal a bottle nestled in an ice bucket. As the scene unfolds, the voiceover tells the love story of Priya and Ben, revealing how champagne played a starring role in their journey to this special moment.
In ‘For Mum’, a lab-grown diamond bracelet takes centre stage, before the camera pulls back to reveal a set of car keys. The voiceover tells the touching story of a son thanking his mum for driving him home, turning a simple gift into a heartfelt gesture of gratitude.
Meanwhile, ‘Janet’, features a gold diamond bangle alongside a compact mirror and red lipstick, with the voiceover revealing a woman treating herself to something special as she embarks on an exciting new chapter in her life.
Together, the films invite audiences to imagine the lives, relationships and moments behind each piece of jewellery, celebrating the idea that the best stories aren't just found in movies. They're happening all around us.
The campaign was created by Sophie Crean and directed by renowned fashion photographer Jess Bonham, represented by Physical Agency. Her distinctive style combines high-end jewellery with playful props and imaginative set design which brings a striking visual quality to the campaign. Her approach turns everyday objects into cinematic scenes that hint at the bigger stories behind each piece.
By appearing alongside Sky's movie programming, the campaign creates a natural connection between the stories people choose to watch and the stories they create themselves, positioning Beaverbrooks at the heart of life's most captivating moments.
Jen Ashton and Oli Short, creative directors at Wonderhood Studios said: “Behind every jewellery purchase there’s a human story. Over the years, Beaverbrooks has been part of countless unexpected moments in people’s lives. Some you couldn’t write, but we did. Making mini movies of each piece and the stories behind them.”
Grace Yates, Brand Manager at Beaverbrooks adds: “As a family jeweller since 1919, we've had the privilege of being part of some of life's most meaningful moments. Over the years, our colleagues have heard countless wonderful stories behind the jewellery our customers choose, and we wanted to celebrate those stories in a way that felt true to who we are. ‘Stories Movies Are Made Of’ brings these moments to life with a little cinematic magic, and we're delighted to be sharing the campaign with audiences as they settle down to enjoy their favourite Christmas movies on Sky.”
‘Stories Movies Are Made Of’ launches on Sunday 1st November 2026, with 30”, 20” and 10” idents running as part of a two-month sponsorship of Christmas movies across Sky Cinema, Sky Christmas, Sky One and Christmas24. The campaign will also run across Sky Go, NOW, social platforms and Channel 4.
Media buying and planning is handled by Republic of Media.
